My idea and the start of the design process

I thought this might be the right time to describe why I chose the idea I have chosen, document my research to date and show the design process so far.

I decided that I would like to tackle the development of a mobile phone application as I believe that due to the current demand for mobile applications this would provide me with some useful knowledge, skills and experience. I also decided I would like to theme it around an upcoming event rather than an imaginary scenario as I feel this helps me work by providing me with a real world goal.

I then started to research the developments side of the project looking at best practices and current platforms, I also started the mobile development course on Lynda.com.
